About the event
Creative and playful activities can be especially helpful during stressful times, and there’s no shortage of those lately! Dr. Page Thanasiu is a Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Registered Play Therapist Supervisor with expertise in using the therapeutic power of play to help strengthen and heal individuals. In this experiential workshop, you will learn about a variety of resources for healthy coping and take part in creative resilience-building activities. You’ll also leave the presentation with practical ideas you can use in your work with girls to help them creatively thrive in challenging times.
Objectives
As a result of attending, participants will be able to:
1. Identify at least three categories of healthy coping skills
2. Experience two creative therapeutic activities that nurture resilience skills
3. Facilitate simple, creative activities that promote wellness and healthy coping for girls
**This workshop can provide two (2) hours of continuing education credit for Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHC), Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT), and Clinical Social Workers (LCSW) (FL Provider #50-31705).**
